Bilingual addresses in Brussels Comment this post Dear Sir, Madam,
I happened to observe on your webpages that you often present addresses in Brussels by their French name, e.g.
Denmark Embassy , Belgium
Rue d'Arlon 73
Bruxelles
Belgium
1040
In view of Brussels' bilingual character (FR/NL), would you please be so kind as to mention addresses in Brussels in the two languages? (e.g. "Rue d'Arlon / Aarlenstraat 73, Brussels"). This would be more courteous to the Dutch-speaking population of Brussels and the EU.
Please see also the "EU Inter-institutional Style Guide", the rules followed by the EU institutions (http://publications.europa.eu/code/en/en-370103.htm).
Kind regards,
Vincent Verouden
(Dutchman living in Brussels).
